AREA RESIDENT DIES AT AGE 75

Greenwood--Mrs. Mary Petkovsek, 76, Willard, Clark County, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 1970 at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past three weeks.

Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Hill Funeral Home at Greenwood and at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard. The Rev. Michael Mertens, pastor, will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitations may be made at the funeral home beginning Thursday noon. The general rosary service will be held there at 9 p.m. Thursday.

The former Mary Jereb was born in Yugoslavia Aug. 4, 1893. She was married in Waukegan, Ill., Oct. 31, 1915, to Frank Petkovsek, who preceded her in death in Jan. 1954.

After their marriage the couple lived at Waukegan until 1918, when they moved to Willard, where they operated a farm until retiring in 1953. She continued to live there until the time of her death.

Survivors include two sons, Frank Petkovsek Jr., Greenwood Joseph Petkovsek, Willard six grandchildren and a brother, Jacob Jereb, in North Dakota.
