EARLY RESIDENT OF GREENWOOD DEAD AT 70


Greenwood--Oliver J. Hendrickson, 70, lifetime resident of the Greenwood, Clark County area, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 1956 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he was admitted earlier that day after becoming ill suddenly at his home. He had been suffering from an asthmatic condition.


Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Ira Tanner officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. Hendrickson was born in the Town of Warner Dec. 23, 1885, and married Amy Pearson June 22, 1911in the Town of Beaver. They farmed four miles northeast of there until three years ago when they retired and moved to Greenwood.


Besides his wife, survivors are three children, Mrs. Donald (Doris) Dusso, Fox Lake Arthur and Harold, Greenwood and Mrs. Myrtle Anderson, Cadott two half-brothers, Carl and Arthur Turnquist, Greenwood and 13 grandchildren. Two infant sons preceded him in death.
