EDWARD HEMBRE, 86, DIES AT GREENWOOD
REV. AABERG TO CONDUCT FUNERAL SERVICES SATURDAY AFTERNOON


Greenwood--Edward Hembre, 86, who came to Greenwood, Clark County from Norway when a young man and settled on a farm, 4 miles northeast of Greenwood, died there Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1946, following a three day illness. The farm now is operated by his nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Ystad.


The body is lying in state at the Schiller Funeral Home, where funeral rites will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, followed by a 2 o'clock service at Trondhjem Lutheran Church. The Rev. M. K. Aaberg will have charge of the rites, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. Hembre was born in Trondhjem, Norway, Sept. 13, 1859, the son of the late Jonis and Maline Hembre.


He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Oline Bragstad, Greenwood, and by a number of nieces and nephews.


Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers, Iver of Greenwood and Ralph, who died in Norway after returning there from Greenwood a sister, Mrs. Jergina Ystad of Greenwood and a half-sister.
