OBITUARY OF MRS. A. SCHOETTLER


Mrs. Augusta Schoettler was born in Germany, Sept. 11, 1856 and was married there to Albert Schoettler on Oct. 27, 1878 Mr. Schoettler passed away Dec. 5, 1926.


Mr. and Mrs. Schoettler immigrated to the United States from Germany May 1, 1881, settling on a farm near Loyal in the Town of Beaver, Clark County, where they resided for 30 years. They then moved to the village of Loyal, where they resided for 15 years. For the past 6 years she has made her home with her son Ernest in the Town of Beaver.


Mrs. Schoettler passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 1939 on her 61st wedding anniversary. She had reach the age of 83 years. The cause of her death was a complication of ailments aggravated by old age, following an illness of three years duration.


Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon at 1:15 from the home of her son Ernest Schoettler and at 2:00 o'clock from the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at Loyal, Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated. The body was laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery two mile north of Loyal.


She is survived by a son Ernest of the Town of Beaver a daughter Mrs. Edna Bartline of De Pere, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.


The pallbearers were six grandsons, Ted Abel, Philip Vollrath, Quinton Irvine, Jack Seibold, Alvin Wolfe and Harold Hills.
