RITES FOR GREENWOOD MAN HELD THURSDAY


Greenwood
--Rites for Charles Fred Johnson, 75, who died Monday noon, July 5, 1937, of cancer at the general hospital at Madison, were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Schiller's funeral home at Greenwood. The Rev. M. K. Aaberg officiated, and interment took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. Johnson, who was born on Sept. 26, 1861, in Smalen, Sweden, purchased a farm 3 miles north of Greenwood, Clark County 19 years ago, residing there until the death of his wife five years ago, when he moved to the city.


Surviving him are two children, Mrs. Harry Klos, Hastings, Neb. and August Johnson, Lincoln, Neb. and Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hanson and Albert Larson, Silvis, Ill.
