DONALD WHITE


Donald D. White, 45, Winter Park, Fla, formerly of the Greenwood-Loyal, Clark County area, died Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 1977 at Winter Park Hospital, following a lingering illness.


Funeral services were Monday at Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford.


Mr. White was born in Jan. 1932 at Greenwood and served for 21 years with the U.S. Army. He graduated in 1950 from the basic airborne course of the Infantry School at Ft. Benning, Ga., and was a qualified parachutist.


He is survived by his wife, the former Darlene Gosse a son, Randy, and a daughter, Rhonda, both at home in Winter Park a brother, Kenneth White, Loves Park, Ill., and three sisters, Mrs. Eula Thompson, Columbus, and Mrs. Harold (Melva) Hendrickson and Mrs. Robert (Elaine) Bauer, both of Greenwood.


He operated the Amber Inn Supper Club in Loyal before moving to Florida in 1973.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. White.


The Huber-Schmidt-Bruesewitz-Decker VFW Post No. 2227 of Colby conducted military services.


The Rev. Clem Dozer officiated and burial was made in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
