OBITUARY OF RICHARD HANNIGAN

Richard S. Hannigan was born in Campbelford, Canada, on Jan. 16, 1845. He came to the state of New York in 1863, thence to Milwaukee in 1865, where he remained until April 1874. New Lisbon was his next home, where he lived until 1913, when he settled in Greenwood, Clark County and from there to this city in 1919, which has since been his home.

His final illness was of two weeks duration, peacefully passing away on Oct. 30th, 1929 at the age of 84 years.

In November 1865 he was united in marriage to Rhoda L. Kelsey of Adams County, N.Y. To them was born one son who died at the age of one year. On Sept. 2, 1894 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Stafford. To this union was born three children, two of who died in infancy.

He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Barthels, one granddaughter, a step grandson and a son-in-law. Interment took place in New Lisbon (Tomahawk Leader).

Deceased at one time resided on a farm here just across from the Trondhjem Church, northeast of Greenwood, and many will be remembered by many of our readers.
