OBITUARY OF NICHOLAS SCHERER


Nicholas William Scherer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Scherer, was born at Mineral Point, Wis., Jan. 29, 1886 and died at a hospital in Chicago, Nov. 17, 1929 of ruptured Appendix.


In 1908 he was married to Miss Clara Wrier of Dodgeville, Wis. and came to Greenwood, Clark County in 1916, where they lived until the fall of 1925, when they moved to Chicago, where they still reside.


To this union six children were born, Florence, Marion, Harold, Doris, Robert and Pauline, all at home.


He is survived by his wife and children, his mother, Mrs. Eva Scherer, three sisters, Gertie (Mrs. Matthew Lindner), Sister Mary Stanislaus of Racine, Margaret (Mrs. Alfred Larson) of Silver, Ill., and three brothers, Peter and Mathew of Chicago and George Scherer of Greenwood and numerous other relatives. His father and a sister, Annie, preceded him in death.


Funeral services were held at Chicago Nov. 20th, with interment in Chicago.


Deceased was well like by all who knew him and was a good husband and father.


He was well known here and his friends were sorry to hear of his death.
