OBITUARY OF WILLIAM A. ZELM

William A. Zelm, owner and operator of the Longwood cheese factory, died at his home in the town of Longwood, Clark County, Wednesday afternoon about 1:30 o'clock, following a heart attack, which he had suffered. Death came to him quietly and without warning. He had been sitting in his home reading a paper when he was stricken.

He was 59 years of age and came to Longwood three years ago, purchasing the cheese factory from E. A. Laabs. Prior to his residence here he had made his home at Tony, Wis., where he operated a cheese factory for about four years and later established himself on a farm, which he operated for a period of about three years. For the past year or more he had been suffering with heart trouble and had sought relief from the different physicians of the state, spending several weeks in the past year at the hospital in Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire.

During his short residence at Longwood he had built up a fine business, and had established himself with the public as a good businessman and a good citizen. His death came as a shock to friends and neighbors.

Funeral services were held from the home at Longwood Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and from the German Lutheran Church at Withee at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Heilman of Greenwood officiating. Burial took place in the Riverside Cemetery.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, three sons, Arno, Edwin and Ervin, all at home, and one daughter, Adeline, two sisters, Mrs. August Steinke of California and Mrs. Fred Hornet of Plymouth, this state, beside one brother, Fred, of Tony. The latter two were here to attend the funeral.
