WILLARD ZIEMENDORF

Willard Ziemendorf, 77, Black River Apartments, Greenwood, Clark County, passed away Saturday, Nov. 20, 1976 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 23 at the Greenwood Methodist Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Eugene Antrim officiating, with interment in the Loyal Cemetery.

The organist was Mrs. Gary Schultz. She sang "How Great Thou Art and In the Garden".

Mr. Ziemendorf was born at Merrill, Wis. on Sept. 17, 1899. He attended school at Merrill. His parents were Frederick and Henrietta Ziemendorf.

He worked for the Holland Furnace Company at Neillsville in 1937. Later he worked at a Quick Lunch Restaurant and for 17 years he was employed in Wisconsin Rapids at the Consolidated Paper Company, retiring in 1964 and moving to Greenwood.

Surviving is his wife Elsie, a son Jack of Inverness, Florida, on brother, Fred of St. Helen's Ore., a sister, Mrs. Mamie Wallace of Florida. Two grandchildren also survive.

Ziemendorf, Willard (17 September – 20 November 1976)

Willard Ziemendorf, 77, a resident of the Black River Apartments in Greenwood, died November 20 at a hospital in Marshfield, where he had been a patient since May 12.

Mr. Ziemendorf was born in Merrill, September 17, 1899. He was married to the former Elsie Shupe November 9, 1939, at Dubuque, Ia. He received his education in the Merrill schools.

For a number of years, he was employed in Neillsville, and then worked at Wisconsin Rapids for a quick lunch restaurant for a few years. For 17 years he worked for Consolidated Papers, Inc., at Wisconsin Rapids, retiring in 1964. Then he moved to Greenwood.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Jack of Inverness, Fl.; a brother Fred, of St. Helens, Or.; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Wallace of Florida; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held November 23 from the Grace United Methodist Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Eugene Antrim, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Steiger, Ervin Steiger, Donald Kauffman, Jerry Baird, Dale Kauffman and Al Herman.

Gary Schultz sang, “How Great Thou Art” and “In The Garden,” accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Gary Schultz.
