OBITUARY OF ENEVOLD SEVERSON

Enevold Severson was born in B. Vesteralen, Norway, March 16, 1851, and died at his home 3 miles northeast of Greenwood, Clark County, June 12, 1928, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 27 days. He emigrated to Lake Mills, Iowa, Aug. 1881, where he remained until 5 years ago when he moved to Greenwood, Clark County, Wis.

He was united in marriage to Anna Marie Ellingson, April 14, 1873. To this union were born five children, namely: Jospeh of Port Wing, Wis., Mrs. Mathilda Rutter of Ruso, N.D., Mrs. Emma Swanson of Minneapolis, Minn., Alfred of Mason City, Ia., and Olaf Severson.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, five children, 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one brother and sister in Norway.

He was brought up in the Lutheran faith and belonged to the Lalem Lutheran congregation at Lake Mills, Iowa until he moved to Greenwood. He was interested in going to church and passed away in the Christian faith of the Lord.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Curtis Swanson and daughters, Wanda and VaLeda from Minneapolis, Minn. Alfred Severson of Mason City, Ia. Clarence Iverson of Chatfield, Minn.

Mr. Severson will be greatly missed in the home he has left and also by his many friends. He was of a cheerful disposition and always ready to extend a helping hand.

Funeral services were held from the home and Trondhjem Church Friday afternoon, Rev. Aaberg and Rev. Dyre officiating, and interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
