JOHN P. SCHEURING


Greenwood: John Paul Scheuring, 80, route 1, Greenwood, Clrak County, died of complications Thursday morning, Oct. 24, 1963, in Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where he had been a patient since April.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Methodist Church at Greenwood. The Rev. David Kellin will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home from Saturday evening until noon Monday, and then at the church.


John Paul Scheuring was born Sept. 6, 1883 at West De Pere, where his marriage to Bessie Norrison took place March 28, 1912. After their marriage the couple came to Clark County, where they settled on a farm 4 1/2 miles southwest of here. For may years Mr. Scheuring had served as clerk of the town of Eaton.


He is survived by his wife: two sons, Willard, route 1, Greenwood and Robert, Tomah a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Jean) Stieglidz, Santa Barbara, Calif. a sister, Mrs. Ray Zimbars, West De Pere and four grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
