LESLIE OFFORD ACCIDENTALLY KILLED

Leslie Offord, the 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Offord, residing about 3 miles from the Metcalf cheese factory, northwest of Greenwood, Clark County, met with a fatal accident Thanksgiving day.

Leslie had gone on a rabbit hunt and while going through the woods slipped on a log. As he fell his gun discharged, the full charge going through his stomach. He was rushed to the hospital at Chippewa Falls, where an operation was performed, but he died Friday morning at eleven o'clock.

Funeral services were held at Thorp Tuesday afternoon.

Deceased was well known here and at one time resided with his parents on what is now the Mike Hafenbraedl farm, southeast of Greenwood, and was a nephew of Mrs. Sid Cox of this city.
