Mrs. John Langreck (1868 - 1947)


Funeral services for Mrs. John Langreck, 79, of Neillsville, will be held at 9:00 o'clock this morning (Thursday), at the Georgas funeral home and at 9:30 at St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. Fr. John J. Pritzl, pastor of St. Mary's church, will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.


Mrs. Langreck, nee Mary Meiners, was born in Germany on Jan. 4, 1868, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Meiners. After her marriage to John Langreck on Feb. 19, 1889, they lived in Iowa until 1912, when they came to Clark county and bought a farm just east of Neillsville known as the John Raine farm. In 1935 they went to live with their daughter, Mrs. Max Statz, near Neillsville. Mr. Langreck died in May, 1942.


Mrs. Langreck was a member of St. Mary's church and of the Christian Mother's Society.
Surviving are 9 children, 46 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
