OBITUARY OF MRS. JOHN H. LANGFELDT


Mary Elizabeth Gelhaar was born Jan. 10, 1887 at Davenport, Ia. On Nov. 29, 1905 she was united in marriage to John H. Langfeldt at Davenport, Ia., later moving to their present home in the Town of Beaver, Clark County.


She died July 17, 1926 at 10:45 P.M. at her home in the Town of Beaver, aged 39 years, 6 months and 7 days. The cause of her death being cancer of the Lymphatic glands.


To the union were born seven children, Dorothy preceding her mother in death at the age of two years and three months.


She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two daughters and four sons. The children are Mrs. Carl Johnson, Max, Edwin, Elsie, Clarens and Erwin, Also one grandchild, her father, sister, brother and half brother, besides a host of friends.


Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the home and at St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Green Grove, Rev. George Heilman officiating. Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Deceased was a kind and loving wife and mother and a friend to all who knew her. Her departure will be a great loss to her relatives and friends.


Those from away who attended the funeral were Mr. Adolph L. Gelhaar, father, Edward L. Gelhaar, brother and Erick Frahm, half brother, all of Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Emil G. Arp of the Town of Beaver.
