Charles Andrew Krapf, Jr., 63, Greenwood, died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996 at St. Joseph's Hospital emergency room, Marshfield. A memorial mass was held at 11 AM on Tuesday, Dec 31, 1996, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Father Joseph Follmar officiated.


Charles Andrew Krapf Jr. was born on March 30, 1933, in Waukegan, Ill., to Charles Sr. and Jenny (Koschak) Krapf. He was a 1951 graduate of Greenwood High School. He served in the Korean Conflict from 1953 - 1955. After the war, he worked for Plautz Bros. for awhile before moving to Milwaukee and working for Fredrick Redi-mix for 20 years. He married Eileen Schwarze on Sept. 3 1960, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. She survives. They moved back to Greenwood in 1976 and he worked for the Town of Warner doing road maintenance. He retired in January of 1996. He loved deer hunting, Nascar racing, bowling, hobby farming and pool. He was Town of Mead Clerk for four years a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Greenwood American Legion Post 238.


Survivors include his wife two daughters, Sandra (Mark) Toburen, Plover and Rochelle (Ken) Rasmussen, Eau Claire two grandchildren, Drew Charles and Sydney Jean Toburen his mother, Jenny Krapf, Greenwood and two sisters, Theresa Zorman, Onalaska and Elizabeth (Duane) Patridge, Mosinee.


He was preceded in death by his father.
