Herman Klocke (1912 - 1999)


Herman Otto Klocke, 87, Curtiss, Clark County, WI died Saturday, Dec. 25 at the Colonial Center in Colby.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford with Rev. Lauren Ley officiating. Burial took place at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Curtiss. Pallbearers were his grandchildren.


Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Maurina Funeral Home.


Herman Klocke was born October 31, 1912, at the Town of Mayville to the late Arthur and Bertha (Wagner) Klocke. He received his early education at the former Brady School.


His marriage to the former Irene Neibacher, who died May 27, 1991, took place on October 6, 1934. They farmed in the Town of Mayville until 1958, then moved to Curtiss. They owned and operated Herman's Bar in Curtiss for 25 years until retiring in 1983. Herman continued to reside in Curtiss until entering the Colonial Center.


Survivors include two sons, Gary (Carol), Orangeville, Ill., and Bruce (Deb), Wausau one daughter, Audrey (Norman) Heintz, Yuma, Ariz. eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
