For about four and one half years he served as janitor at the M.E. Church starting the first flowers and planting the vines. He was a careful, dependable workman.

Mr. Hubble has been ailing for about a year, though having occasional spells of sickness for the last 15 years. He passed away Sunday morning, Mar 7, at the Marshfield Hospital, following an operation, at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 9 days.

The deceased was a respected citizen, a good neighbor, an upright and industrious man. He wife, who is left to mourn, tenderly thinks of him as a good provider a kind and loving husband, a companion through life who thought first and last as to what he might do for his loved one. Mr. Hubble also leaves several cousins, some here and some away, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at 2:00 o'clock Thursday afternoon, following a brief service at the home. Rev. C. Gaylord, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Adolph Schwarze, Albert Schwarze, Howard Corey, Charles Varney, Irvie Gates, Ed Buker. Honorary pallbearers were John Arends, Chas. Pickruhn, Albert Shanks, E. T. Opdycke, Harold Stabnow and August Noetzel.

"E'en for the dead I will not bend
My soul to grief-Death cannot long divide
For is it not as if the rose that climbed
My garden wall had blossomed on the other side "

Note: Mr. Hubble, a salesman for the McNess Company, was an alderman at the time of his death and also operated a fox farm on the east side of the city. He had been a member of the Odd Fellows for the past 30 years.
