MARIE M. BRANDT (1934-1994)


Marie M. Brandt, 59, Greenwood, Clark County, died Wednesday, June 1, 1994, at St Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where she had been admitted on May 31. A public memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 1994, at Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood. Rev. Dave Sommerfeld officiated. Private graveside services were held at the Greenwood Cemetery preceding the memorial service.


Marie M. Younker was born on Aug. 25, 1934, in Chippewa Falls, to Rudolph and Mae (nee Stange) Younker. She attended Dorchester and Greenwood schools and was a graduate of Greenwood High School. She married Nyle E. Brandt on March 28, 1953, in Neillsville. He survives. She was employed as a nurse's aid at Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville for several years. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church, was a past president of its women's group, served as a Sunday School teacher and was active in the church AWANA Club. She was also active in the Caring and Sharing community Group in Greenwood.


Survivors include her husband three children, Lee Ann Hischer, Minneapolis Duane A. (Cynthia) Brandt, Lawrenceberg, Ky. and Brenda Mae (Michael) Kolbeck, Spencer five grandchildren three sisters, Loretta (Verlyn) Pockbrandt, Loyal Darlene (Harvey) Haslow, Loyal and Sharon (Ronald) Rueth, Loyal and one brother, Dennis (Noreen) Younker, Minneapolis, Minn.


She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brothers, an infant sister one son-in-law, and two grandsons.


Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield, handled the arrangements.
