LYNDA AWE (1898-1991)


Mrs. Lynda Awe, 92, formerly of Greenwood, Clark County, died Wednesday, July 24, 1991, at Colonial Living Center, Colby. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 1991, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood. Rev. John Tschudy officiated and burial was in Westside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Awe, Michael Awe, Douglas Awe, Jeffery Awe, Thomas Awe, and James Serocki Jr.


Lynda Stock was born Aug. 3, 1898, in Manitowoc County, to August and Wilhelmina (nee Goeke) Stock. She received her education at Manitowoc schools. She married Arthur Awe March 28, 1944, in Decorah, Iowa. He preceded her in death Dec. 25, 1989. After their marriage, they farmed in the town of Green Grove until 1972 when they retired and moved to Greenwood. She entered the Colonial Living Center April 22, 1985. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.


Survivors include one son, Henry Awe, Owen and six grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and four sisters.


Rinaka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
