ANDREW W. LOY

Once again death appears in our midst and claims for his victim one of the old settlers of this place, Mr. Wash Loy. He was born in Jacksonburg, Belmont County, Ohio, Dec. 31, 1830, where he grew to manhood. He married Mary Ann Campbell in Adams Co., Indiana, in 1852. He moved to Green County in 1866, where his wife died soon after. In 1868 he married Meroy Shepard.

He had been sick for some time and died as he had lived, a kind and loving husband and father and neighbor. His death came on Aug. 4th, 1904. The funeral took place at the home, Rev. G. W. Campbell officiating. The funeral was largely attended by friends and neighbors. Deceased leaves a wife and two children, Sylvester and Retta Slover, to mourn his loss. The remains now rest by the side of his youngest daughter, Florence Palms, in the Globe cemetery.

The family wishes to thank their friends and neighbors for their help and sympathy during the time of sickness and death in their household.
