Gasiorowski, Helen (10 FEB 1913 - 9 AUG 1960)

 

A former Lublin resident, Mrs. Stanley Gasiorowski, 47, died in Chicago Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1960, following brain surgery performed ten days earlier.  Mrs. Gasiorowski had been in failing health since February when she was listed "dead on arrival" at Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago.  She was revived after a half hour of no perceptible heartbeat, when a member of the hospital’s medical staff opened her chest and massaged her heart.

 

The former Helen Peleschak was born in Lublin Feb. 10, 1913, and was married in that village to Stanley Gasiorowski on June 10, 1933.  They lived in Chicago for several years after their marriage, then moved to a farm northwest of Lublin, later moved to Clayton, Wis., and then returned to Chicago.

 

Funeral services were held in that city at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and burial was in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery at Niles, Ill.  Pallbearers were Andrew and Frank Sweda, Joe and Frank Gasiorowski, Leon Wozniak and Edward Zielinski.

 

Mrs. Gasiorowski is survived by her husband; a son Carl, a daughter Sally, Mrs. Kermit Moses; her parents, Mrs. And Mrs. Ambrose Peleschak, Lublin; three brothers, matt of Chicago, Mike of Hammond, Ind., and Nick of Thorp; and five sisters, Ann, Mrs. Leon Wozniak, Chicago, Ella, Mrs. John Skapyak, Clear Lake, Wis., Mary, Mrs. Edward Zielinski, Chicago, Irene, Mrs. Edward Jusinski, Lublin, and Katherine, Mrs. Marvin Piwoni, Gilman.
