Plaul/Plauel, Mrs. Louis #2 (JUN 1838 - 7 FEB 1917)

 

Mrs. Louis Plauel, who passed away Wednesday night Feb. 7th, 1917 after a short illness suffering with bronchitis and la grippe, was a woman of 78 years of age who was born in Germany in June of 1838.  She was married to Louis Plauel in Germany on June 22, 1862 and came to Milwaukee with him in May of 1869.  They came to Clark County more than 40 years ago and settled on their farm in the town of Lynn, which has since been their home and where she died last week Wednesday.  She is survived by her husband Louis Plauel and by two children, Ottilie Bill of Lampman, Canada and Mildred Hahm at home.  Mrs. Plauel gave birth to 15 children, 13 of whom have preceded her to the Great Beyond.  There are 10 grandchildren surviving.  The funeral was held from the home at 1 o’clock last Monday, Rev. Grether of Neillsville officiating, and interment was made in the Lynn Cemetery.  The pallbearers were Aug. Riedel, Henry Williams, Wm. Wischuelke, Gustave Beilke, Henry Yankee and Henry Winter.
