Riegert, Helen Marie (Heindl) (September 30, 1916 - March 17, 2012)

 

Helen Marie Riegert, 95, of Colby died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the House of the Dove in Marshfield.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester at 11 a.m. Rev. Daniel Hackel will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the church in Dorchester. Entombment will be in Saint Michael Holy Angels Mausoleum in Wausau.


Helen was born September 30, 1916, in the Town of Holton to Nicholas and Elizabeth (Leonhard) Heindl. She graduated from Saint Louis Catholic School in Dorchester.


Helen worked as a cook and a housekeeper for many years in Marshfield before her marriage. She married Clarence Riegert on June 25, 1946, at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Together they farmed in rural Stetsonville until their retirement.


She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and babysitting.


Helen is survived by her brother, Urban Heindl; sister-in-laws, Janice Heindl and Alice Heindl; six nephews and six nieces; many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Elizabeth Heindl; her husband, Clarence; and brothers, Bernard, Arthur, Eugene, Francis and James.


Helen was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby.
