Potter, Frank #2 (21 DEC 1855 - 6 FEB 1917)

The news of the death of Frank Potter Tuesday morning came as a great shock to his many friends here, none of whom knew that he was ill, for it was only Sunday morning that he passed through here then apparently well, enroute home from Sheboygan where he had been to attend the funeral of a brother-in-law.  Pneumonia was the cause of Mrs. Potter’s demise.

Mr. Potter was born at West Bend 61 years ago last December and came to Clark County soon after his marriage to Miss Belle Schafer of Sheboygan County in the spring of 1885.  They settled in the town of York (Clark Co., Wis.) on a fine farm which continued to be their home until their removal to Neillsville only three months ago.  Deceased was a genial pleasant man to meet.  A good friend and neighbor, a much loved husband and father, a man who death is sincerely mourned, not only by his relatives, but by a large circle of friends.  He is survived by his wife and their two sons, Wayne and Harland.  Wayne is married and Harlan lives with him at the old farm home in the town of York.  The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon from the Neillsville M.E. Church.  Deceased was a well-known and highly respected member of the M.W.A. and this order will assist at the funeral.
