Pockrandt, Betty (09 AUG 1958)

In Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 9, Miss Betty M. Pockrandt was given in marriage to Gordon J. Landwehr by her uncle and godfather, Theodore Pockrandt of Westfield. Rev. John Pfohl, pastor of Trinity was officiator.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. William H. Pockrandt, Loyal, Rt. 1, and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Landwehr, Stratford, R. 2, are the parents of the groom.

For her wedding apparel Miss Pockrandt chose a floor-length gown of Exquisite Shifti embroidered tulle fashioned with bodice detailed with shirred cap sleeves and tulle inset at the Sabrina neckline, and a skirt with a delicate sweep of the embroidery, with tierred back interest. Her imported illusion veil was caught to a sequin crown and she carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses, white carnations and green ivy.

As matron of honor the bride’s sister, Mrs. James Boettcher, Marshfield wore an orchid net floor-length gown with diagonal stripe, apron effect, overlay, and a rhinestone trim net tiara headpiece. Her cascade bouquet was fashioned of yellow carnations tied with green ribbon. In Nile green gowns and headpieces in identical style were the bridesmaids, Mrs. Verlyn Pockrandt, Loyal, R.1, sister-in-law of the bride, Miss Janet Winter, Marshfield, and Miss Shirley Landwehr, Stratford, sister of the groom. Their cascade bouquets were yellow carnations tied with orchid ribbons.

The two flower girls, Donna Pockrandt, Loyal, niece og the bride, and Karen Boucher, Colby, niece of the groom, wore white floor-length gowns of embroidered nylon and carried baskets of white and blue flowers.

Jerry Landwehr, Stratford, served his brother as best man and groomsmen were Verlyn Pockrandt, Loyal, brother of the bride and Virgil Reckner, Stratford, and Gene Landwehr, Stratford, also a brother of the groom. Arnold Pommering, Milwaukee, cousin of the bride and Raymond Landwehr, brother of the groom, seated the guests.

Nathan and Donald Noeldner sang "Today, O Lord". Miss Carol Noeldner was organist.

A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride’s mother. A 4:30 dinner was served in the parish hall. A dance at Riverview Ballroom, Stratford was given in the evening.

The bride has been employed as a bookkeeper at Karau’s Market, Marshfield. She is a graduate of the Loyal High School.

The groom is employed at Rodis Plywood Corporation, Marshfield. When the couple return from a honeymoon

through western states they will reside at Stratford.
