The Rev. William Schreffler performed the double ring ceremony uniting Miss Darlene Diane Winiarczyk and Bernard John Burzynski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in marriage Saturday afternoon, May 14, 1960 at 2:30 o’clock in the Pentecostal Assembly Church in Eau Claire.

 

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Winiarczyk of route 2, Thorp, and Mrs. Lottie Burzynski and Mr. Ben Burzynski, route 1, Thorp.

 

Mrs. Dale Remington was organist and Mrs. Douglas Tandberg sang, "To My Bride" and "Together Life’s Pathway We Tread."

 

A floor length gown of imported Chantilly lace was worn by the bride as she came before the altar with her father.  It was styled by a fitted bodice with a jeweled Sabrina neckline coming to a V in the back and long sleeves.  The bouffant skirt of Chantilly lace was made at the back with lace roses falling into a chapel train.  Her headpiece was a jeweled pearl crown and she carried a cascade arrangement of red roses and lily of the valley surrounding a white orchid.

 

Miss Joyce Louis Winiarczyk of Thorp attended her sister’s wedding as maid of honor.  Miss JoAnne Larson of St. Paul, Minn., Miss Nancy Jordon of Eau Claire, Miss Patricia Prock of Owen and Miss Jackie Deutschlander of Thorp, were bridesmaids.

 

The maid of honor wore yellow nylon chiffon over taffeta street length gown and the bridesmaids were identically styled in dresses of baby blue color.  They wore matching headpieces of short veils with velvet trim.

 

Cynthia Racitorski was flower girl for her aunt and her dress and bouquet were styled as the bride’s.  The groom’s nephew, Allen Roger Olejniczak of Rochester, Minn. was ring bearer.

 

Attending the groom was Dale Galen Lee of Stanley as best man, and groomsmen were Kenneth Muscari of Chicago, Ill., Steven Figura, Colfax, Louis Carpenter, Jr., Chicago, and the bride’s brother Ronnie Winiarczyk of Thorp.  Ushers were Bob Oelke and Gordon Stienkner.

 

A 5:30 o’clock dinner was served to about 650 guests at the Thorp Finance Corp. dining room.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Winiarczyk, parents of the bride, celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary, and Mrs. Eugene Racitorski, sister of the bride, celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on the bridal couple’s wedding day.

 

The bride’s mother attended her daughter’s wedding in a dress of mint green silk organza over taffeta with white and mint green accessories, and the groom’s mother wore a white nylon over net with pastel flowers on it with white accessories.  Each wore an orchid corsage.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Burzynski are graduate of the Thorp High School.  She has been employed at the Thorp Finance Corp., and he is a mechanic at Thorp Sales and Service in Thorp, where they will make their home when they return from a wedding trip through southern and eastern states.

 

Out of town guests were from Chicago, Ill., Stanley, Eau Claire, Owen, Withee, St. Paul, Minn., Rochester, Minn., Colfax, Wausau, Maywood, Ill., Minneapolis and Chippewa Falls.
