York Center (20 October 1911)

 

Irv Young and Rosa Broker were guests at the home of D. Timerson, Sunday.

 

Ed Rowe of Neillsville was seen in this vicinity Saturday afternoon.

 

Horace Lawrence left Saturday for Minneapolis on a short visit to his sister, Mrs. Campbell who is in the hospital at that place.  Word was received Monday that she was getting along nicely.

 

Miss Helen Town of Eau Claire who is visiting friends at Loyal attended services at the M. E. Church Sunday.

 

Orin Lawrence sports a fine new team which he recently go of Fred Heibel in place of the horse he did have.

 

Ed Fulwiler and best girl of Loyal drove down Sunday and called on A. P. Fulwiler and wife.

 

Mr. Walters of Heintown was in this vicinity one day taking orders for whitewashing basements.

 

John Vande Berg drove to Spencer Saturday on a short call at the homes of T. E. Emling and Wm. Fenhouse.

 

We had another hard rain Sunday night and Monday which raised the water considerable.

 

Three young gentlemen were out hunting Monday afternoon.  It is rather doubtful which they were hunting for, rabbits or rain.

 

Quite a few from this vicinity drove to Neillsville Tuesday.
