Pleasant Ridge (20 October 1911)

 

Mrs. Henry Hubing and baby of Glendive, Montana are here visiting relatives and friends.

 

Mrs. Wm. West is still very low.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kurth and daughter who were spending a most pleasant afternoon at Otto Hantke’s last Sunday were caught by the pour of the rain and compelled to stay all night.

 

Miss Martha Nitschke of Lynn is sewing for Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister and mother this week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Page went to Black River Falls last Sunday to see the ruins.

 

A large crowd attended the corn husking bee at Arthur Drescher’s last Friday night, all having a jolly time and took advantage of the bounteous supper which was served at midnight.

 

Mr. and Mrs. George Wilding and children, Mr. and Mrs. J. Hughes and children, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hantke and daughter Marion spent last Sunday at the Clemens Kuechenmeister home.  All had a most pleasant time until the heavy clouds showed themselves and they all went their way homeward.
