THS (Forensics Team - 2012)

On Monday, March 12, the Thorp High School forensics team competed at the 2012 Districts competition, at Eau Claire Memorial High School.  Competing against public speakers from around the District, Thorp’s 16 entrants jumped into their first round of competition, hoping to score a 20 or higher out of 25 in at least two of their three rounds to qualify for the State competition at the University-Wisconsin –Madison on April 21-22. This year, the entire Thorp forensics team earned the scores needed to move on.

Members of the Forensics team and their events include: Katy Baker - Four minute speech; Jordan Schimke - Prose; Brittaney Deleski - Prose; Paige Hunt - Storytelling; BreeAnna Kulesa - Solo Acting; Abby Wisniewski - Solo Acting; Lyndsey Jacks, Angel Szczech, Ashley Szczech, and Melissa Ernsting - Play Acting; Kristie Haas, Marissa Sayles, and Kayln Szymanski - Play Acting; Melissa Barth, Brooke Noah, and Denette Plansky - Play acting.
