Sternitzky, Leona Frances (13 February 1905 - 14 October 1965)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from Zion Lutheran Church in Granton for Mrs. Arnold Sternitzky, 60, of Rt. 5, Marshfield a former resident of the Granton area, who died Thursday in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. F. C. Benecke officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Mrs. Sternitzky, the former Leona Frances Gluch, was born February 13, 1905, in Neillsville. She was a graduate of the Granton High School.  On June 9, 1929, she was married to Arnold Sternitzky in the American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. They resided in the Town of Lynn for six years. They also farmed in Clark, Marathon and Wood Counties.  Since September of this year they have lived on Rt. 5, Marshfield.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.

 

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Merlin and Darrel Sternitzky of Hewitt; her mother, Mrs. Dan Gluch of Neillsville; a brother, Ronald D. Gluch of Neillsville; and six grandchildren.
