 Belding, Fay Andrew #2 (22 Mar 1906 - 21 Aug 1959)

Funeral services for Fay Andrew Belding, 53, of Owen R. 1, were held in the Loyal Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Monday.  Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.  The Rev. Alfred Attwood officiated.

He was born at Endicott, Neb., on March 22, 1906.  He lived there until about 21 years of age.  He then moved to Peoria, Ill., later going to Milwaukee where he lived for 11 years.  He moved to Riplinger five years ago.

On Feb. 16, 1926 he married the former Mary Roush at Washington, Kan.

He served in the army for three years during World War II.  The American Legion Post of Unity, of which he was a member, conducted military rites at the funeral.

His death, resulting from a heart condition, occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Friday afternoon, Aug. 21.  He had been a patient there for two weeks.

He is survived by his widow, four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Cross and Mrs. Virgie Bell, both of Kenosha; Mrs. Sylvia Williams, Loveland, Colo.; Mrs. Goldie Fentiman, Los Angles, Calif.; and three brothers, Steve and Lester, Loveland, Colo.; and Orville of Diller, Neb.

Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were from American Legion Post, No. 358, Unity.  They were Ray Wisnosky, Leo Bloom, John W. Johnson, Frank Tippelt, Ed Mews and Fred Loughead.

The Color Guard and Firing Squad were from American Legion Post, No. 175, Loyal, Sherrin Mack, Post Commander and Oscar Fricke, squad commander. Military rites were conducted at the grave.  The flag was presented to Mrs. Belding by Edd Dobbe.

Mrs. Byron Zepplin was organist and the hymns, "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset" were sung by Mrs. Duane Neuman.
