Putz, John (25 July 1894 - 26 July 1965)

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville for John Putz, 71, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, who died here Monday.  The Rev. Bernard T. Kelly officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 

Mr. Putz, a lifetime resident of the Town of Hewett, was born July 25, 1894, son of the later John and Caroline (Kinninger) Putz, Sr.  He served in World War I, having entered service June 24, 1918, and receiving his discharge June 12, 1919.

 

He was engaged in farming in the Columbia area until a few years ago, but remained on the farm.
