Bushnell, Ida #2 (1 MAR 1878 - 14 OCT 1963)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Bushnell, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), were held yesterday afternoon at 2:00, Wednesday, Oct. 16, from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  Rev. Ralph Claybaugh of the First Congregational Church, Owen, officiated at the final rites with burial taking place in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Serving as pallbearers were six grandsons.

 

Mrs. Bushnell, a resident of this community since 1920, passed away at 2:00 a.m., Oct. 14, 1963 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, where she had been a patient for some time, being treated for complications affiliated with old age.  She was born March 1, 1878 in Lynn County, Iowa, making her 85 years, 7 months and 13 days of age.

 

In 1897 she and the late Harry C. Bushnell were married in Iowa where they made their home for 23 years prior to moving to Clark County, settling on a farm in the Town of Beaver, southeast of Owen.  They farmed for 22 years until 1942 when they retired and moved to Owen.  Mr. Bushnell preceded her in death, passing away Nov. 30, 1958.

 

Mrs. Bushnell is survived by a sister, Mrs. Alan Gunn of California; one son, Merle Bushnell, Owen; a daughter, Mrs. Sailor (Gladys) Phelps, Lisbon, Iowa; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
