Meihak, Christine (Marriage - 19 June 1965)

The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at a double ring ceremony uniting in marriage Miss Christine Meihak, of Englewood, Colo., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Meihak, Sr., of Neillsville, and Henry Peepgrass III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peepgrass of Englewood, Colo.

The ceremony took place Saturday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, with Mr. Meihak giving his daughter in marriage.  Albert Meihak, Jr., of Fort Atkinson sang wedding songs, accompanied at the organ by Barbara Meihak.

The bride was attired in a floor-length gown of silk organza over Peau de soie material. Her chapel train cascaded from a large bow at the back waistline. The train was enhanced with appliqués and seed pearls. The fitted bodice was styled with three-quarter-length sleeves and a jeweled, round low neckline. Her elbow-length veil was held in place by a pillbox crown.

She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and stephanotis.

Miss Mary Jorgenson of Denver, Colo., was her maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were her two sisters, Monna and Linda Meihak, and Miss Karen Nemyel of Omaha, Neb.

The groom was attended by Donald Wedman of Denver, Colo., as bestman. Groomsmen were Dale Meihak of Neillsville, Donald Wharton of Denver, Colo., and Ronald Nemyel of Omaha, Neb. Ushers Donald Meihak and Harold Beyer, both of Neillsville.

Little Gary Meihak of Neillsville carried the rings on a heart-shaped satin pillow.  Julia Meihak of Fort Atkinson served as miniature bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the dining room of St. John’s School.

Mr. and Mrs. Peepgrass have left on a trip to Las Vegas, Nev., and will make their home in Englewood, Colo., where the bride is employed as a receptionist, and the groom is engaged in the plumbing business.
