Lukasiewicz, Shirley (10 AUG 1963)

St. Hedwig’s Chapel, Thorp, was the scene of the wedding of Shirley Lukasiewicz to Anton Frank Wilczek, Saturday, Aug. 10, 1963.  Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz, Thorp, are the parents of the bride and the bridegroom is the sonof Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilczek, Withee.  The Rev. Roy Mish performed the 10:00 a.m. nuptials.

For her wedding the bride wore a Chantilly type lace over taffeta gown, styled with mandarin collard, lace edged, long sleeves and fitted bodice.  The bouffant skirt was fashioned with tieres of lace and featured a large bow at the back waist.  Tiny bows on each tier accented the chapel train.  She wore a double crown of pearl which secured her fingertip veil.  Sprays of stephanotis and carnations, encircling a white orchid, formed the bridal bouquet.

The bride’s four attendants were attired in identically styled gowns of satin.  Their scoop necklines and three-quarter length sleeves accented the fitted bodices.  Shirred cummerbunds secured their bouffant skirts which were fashioned with a cabbage rose and floating back panel.  Matron of honor, Mrs. Rosemae Skalecki, sister of the bride, wore a dark pink.  The bridesmaids were Theresa Wilczek, sister of the groom, in dark green; Mary Wilczek, another sister of the groom, in gold; and Betty Jean Lukasiewicz, another sister of the bride, in peacock blue.  All of the attendants wore harmonizing crowns of braid with pearl and crystal trim, which held blush veils, and carried bouquets of white and matching color carnations to complement their costume.

Debbie Pazniczny was the miniature bride, and Kenneth Lukasiewicz was the groom’s best man.  Groomsmen included two more of the groom’s brothers, Frank and Jerry, and Louie Malecki

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Wilczek will be at home at Rt. 1, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
