Crissinger, Onalee Beth (Marriage - 12 June 1965)

Miss Onalee Beth Crissinger of Clinton and Ronald James Whitmore of Berkeley, Cal., exchanged wedding promises in a 3 p.m. ceremony Saturday, in the Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church in Clinton. The Rev. Raymond Reinholtzen officiated at a double ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Crissinger of Neillsville. The groom is the son of Marion Whitmore of El Monte, Cal.

Mr. Crissinger gave his daughter in marriage.  For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of creamy silk linen in Empire style.  A self-fabric band marked the high waistline, from which fell a panel train to the hem of the formal-length, controlled A-line skirt. Swiss lace appliquéd roses framed the train. Her elbow veil of silk illusion was held by a circlet of dainty orange blossoms.  She carried a single, long-stemmed white rose.

Miss Helen Coltvet of Minneapolis, Minn., was maid-of-honor.  She was attired in a floor length gown of harmonizing shades of green, slightly gathered throughout the linen skirt. Her peau de soie bodice, above the Empire waist, was styled with a jewel neckline. A small pillbox hat held her short veil. She carried a single long stemmed white rose.

David Johnson of Clinton was bestman.  Ushers were Dean Crissinger and James and Daniel Thompson. Steve Thompson served as acolyte.

Wendell Paynter sang Bach’s "Draw Near to me" and "Our Father, Thou in Heaven Above", accompanied by Kenneth Strohbusch.

A reception for 60 relatives and friends was held in the Fellowship room of the church.

The bride was graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Ia., in 1963, and for the last two years has taught in the Clinton Community School system.  Mr. Whitmore is a 1965 graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.  He has accepted a position with IBM Corp., of Los Angeles, Cal.

Their wedding trip will be to California, where thy will make their home.
