Krultz, Mike, Sr. (31 December 1887 - 10 June 1965)

 

Mike Krultz, Sr., 77, of Greenwood died June 10 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.  He had been a patient there since May 17.

 

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Carl Booher, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was made in the National Cemetery in Willard.

 

He was born December 31, 1887, in Village of Hrartnik, Yugoslavia.  May 16, 1910, he was married to Antonia Prosence in Breezy Hill, Kans.  She died July 17, 1946.  His second marriage, to Theresa Lausche, took place in 1950.  She died on December 9, 1959.  In July, 1961, he married Mary Pesut, who died in March 1964.

Mr. Krultz went to Canada and worked there two years and traveled to Pennsylvania and Kansas before settling in Willard, until 1957, when he moved to Greenwood.

 

He was chairman of the Town of Hendren and a board member of Clark Electric Cooperative.  He presently served as secretary of Slovenian National Benefit Society.

 

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Frieda) Klancher of Willard and Mrs. Ludwig (Elma) Hribar of Greenwood; three sons, Mike, Jr., of Neillsville, Selvian of Greenwood and Walter of Willard.  Twenty-three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
