Michelle Renae Christensen and Adam Carl Resnick were united in marriage on July 25, 2011, at the Malibu West Beach Club in Malibu, CA. The ceremony was held on an outdoor patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The Rev. Gabriel Shapiro, Minneapolis, a childhood friend of the groom, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Elaine Christensen, Abbotsford. The groom is the son of David and Nancy Resnick, Madison. Matron of honor was Kelly Buchholz, Durand, sister of the bride. The bride’s attendants were the groom’s sisters, Tamar Resnick, Minneapolis, MN; Amira Resneck, Los Angeles, CA; and Yael Resnick Boston, MA.
The groom’s attendants were the bride’s brothers, Brian and Scott Christensen, both of Abbotsford.
Music during the ceremony was provided by a classical guitarist, Austin Grant.
A reception was held at the Malibu West Beach club, with 60 of Michelle and Adam’s closest friends and family.
The couple has a 16-day honeymoon, with eight days each in Phuket, Thailand, and Bali, Indonesia.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Abbotsford High School and a 2004 graduate of UW-Madison with a degree in accounting and information systems with a specialization in international business. She is a manager in the Entertainment, Media, Communication and Technology Assurance Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Los Angeles, CA.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Madison Memorial High School, and a 1996 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics. He went on to earn his graduate degree in industrial engineering from UW-Madison in 2000 and his Ph.D. in industrial engineering from UW-Madison in 2002. He is currently a military health and logistics researcher at the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica, CA.
The couple resides in Marina del Rey, CA.
