Humbird (10 June 1965)

 

Mrs. Dennis Sagstetter (the former Betty Walker) of St. Paul was a guest Sunday of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Kirby.  Mr. and Mrs. Sagstetter have sold their home in St. Paul and will soon make their home in Florida.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop and family, with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Duerkop and children and Mr. and Mrs. William Mueller of Fairchild, drove to Dodgeville Friday to attend funeral services for their father, Ernest Duerkop of Dodgeville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Green and children spent Wednesday evening at the Leland Duxbury home.

 

Mrs. Raymond Stuve came home Sunday from a week’s visit at the Leon Phillips home in Goshen, Ind.

 

Mrs. Millie Trachsel and Mrs. Florence Lund were in Madison Saturday to attend the Rural Arts luncheon and show.  A picture exhibited by Mrs. Trachsel won an award.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierce of Neillsville attended the Ringrose auction and called on friends.

 

Roy (Buss) Miller of Iowa was in town Saturday calling on friends.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jake Lightfoot and Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Al Raymond of Fairchild Saturday.

 

Mrs. Helen Giloy is a patient in Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, and under-going treatment for a few days.

 

Mrs. and Mrs. Theo Polege accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Roger Nering and children of Eau Claire to Milwaukee Friday evening to spend the weekend at the Clarence Buttke home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Anderson of Kalama, Wash., who has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trachsel and family, left for their home Sunday evening, going as far as Rochester, Minn., with his nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Trachsel. The latter spent the weekend with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson were to fly from Rochester, Monday.

 

Mrs. Mary Iffland has moved her household goods from New London into her new home here, and is getting settled. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haag and Leonard of Melrose, and Mrs. Hilda Sutton of Merrillan, came to help their sister and aunt. All were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe, who also helped a bit.
