Paul M. Hagedorn, 83, of Neillsville died at his home Tuesday, June 1. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Globe. The Rev. David Witte will officiate. Burial will be made in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Hagedorn was born March 22, 1882, in Germany, coming to the United States with his parents when he was 18 months of age. The family located in the Globe area. Following the death of his parents, Mr. Hagedorn continued to farm. He retired in 1946 and at that time moved to Neillsville.
He served as a member of the church board and was a school board member for several terms. On March 22, 1905, he was married in Neillsville to the former Meta Wegner.
Mr. Hagedorn is survived by his wife; six children, Mrs. Ed (Lillie) Marg of Neillsville; Herman Hagedorn of Neillsville; Julius Hagedorn of rural Neillsville; Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Krause of Neillsville; Mrs. Louis (Helen) Nemitz of Bloomer; and Louis Hagedorn of rural Neillsville. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Grap, of Wausau; and a brother, Richard Hagedorn of Neillsville; and 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Neillsville -- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe for Paul M. Hagedorn, 83, of 305 E. Fifth Street, who died Tuesday evening at his home. The Rev. David Witte will officiate and burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Georgas Funeral Home on Fifth Street until noon Friday and then at the church.
Mr. Hagedorn was born March 22, 1882 in Germany, and came to this county with his parents at the age of 1 1/2 years. They settled in the Globe area, where they farmed. Mr. Hagedorn retired and moved to Neillsville in 1946. He served on the church board and was a member of the school board for several years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. His marriage to Meta Wegner took place on March 22, 1905, at Neillsville.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Ed Lillie) Marg, Neillsville; Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Krause, Neillsville and Mrs. Louis (Helen) Nemitz, Bloomer; three sons, Herman, Neillsville; Julius and Louis, both of rural Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Grap, Wausau; a brother, Richard Hagedorn, Neillsville; 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Erna and Ella; by one sister, Gusta; by one brother, William, and by two brothers in infancy.
