Hoffman/Hoffmann, Ida Marie (1 JUN 1963)

Preceding a 10:30 o’clock nuptial High Mass solemnized Saturday morning, June 1, 1963, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, by the Rev. john Pinion, matrimonial promises were exchanged by Miss Ida Marie Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund L. Hoffmann, Colby, and Robert James Jeske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jeske, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).  Mr. Hoffmann gave his daughter in marriage.

The bride entered the church wearing a gown of white Chantilly lace over nylon tulle.  The bouffant skirt was attached to a fitted bodice, having a Sabrina neckline and highlight with seed pearls and sequins.  Rosettes added back interest.

Her fingertip veil was held by a crown of seed pearls and aurora borealis crystals and the bride’s bouquet was comprised of pink roses with white carnations and streamers of rose buds.

Miss Carrie Hoffmann, Colby, the maid of honor, and Mrs. William Jeske, Cambria, the bridesmaid, were attired in street length gowns of ynon sheer in orchid hue.  They had Sabrina necklines with back bows.  Each aid carried a bouquet of yellow carnations secured with orchid bows.

William Jeske, Cambria, was the best man.  Jim Hoffmann, Colby, the groomsman; and Larry Jeske and Ted Hoffman were ushers.

Dinner for the family was followed by a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents.  Cherokee Hall was the scene of dancing from 8 to 12 o’clock midnight.

Following a northern Wisconsin honeymoon, the Jeskes will make their home in Owen.

Both newlyweds are graduates of Colby High School with the class of 1961.  The bride also attended Stout State College, Menomonie, where she was affiliated with the Dietetics Club and the A.D. EA.  The bridegrooms also attended Northland College, Ashland, and Taylor County Teachers College.
