A late afternoon wedding was solemnized at St. Stephanus Lutheran Church in St. Paul when Miss Linda Lee Carlson became the bride of Ronald W. Johnson on April 6, 1963, by the Rev. Theodore H. Goehle, who conducted the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Carlson of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Johnson of St. Paul.

Escorted tot eh altar on the arm of her father, the bride wore a floor length white satin gown designed with a scooped neckline, having a border of set-in pearls, long tapered sleeves, a bouffant skirt which ended in a train.  A waist length veil was fastened to a white satin rose-shaped headpiece, and she carried a bouquet of gardenias and roses.

Carol Carlson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, with bridesmaids being Marlene Carlson, sister of the bride, Sandra Johnson and Dorothy Johnson, sisters of the groom.  They were all attired in baby blue lace sheath gowns with gathered overskirts.  Their headpieces were blue taffeta bows with circular veils.  For their bouquets they carried blue and white carnations adorned with white ribbon streamers.

Attending the groom was Jerry Larson of St. Paul as best man, and groomsmen were Jerry Johnson, a brother of the groom from Kansas City, Mo., Gary Olson of St. Paul and Craig Carlson, brother of the bride.

The ushers were William Hoppe and Walter Johnson, both of St. Paul.

Following the wedding a reception was held in the church parlors.

The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee High School with the 1960 class.  She is a hairdresser in St. Paul.

The groom is a graduate of the Wilson High School in St. Paul in the class of ’59, and is now employed at the Armour co. in St. Paul.

Following a wedding trip in northern Minnesota and Canada, the newlyweds will reside at 657 Ashland Av. in St. Paul.

Guests attending the wedding from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Johnson, and Beth Anne of Kansas City, Mo.; Tracy Berthiaume, Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Boehm of Honolulu, Hawaii; Walter Ehlers and Mrs. Geneva Siljenberg of Cleghorn, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Roulstone, Mr. and Mrs. James Roulstone…(the rest of my article was cut off)
