Howard, Colleen Kay (Marriage - 5 December 1964)

One hundred seventy-five guests witnessed as nuptial vows were exchanged in a double ring ceremony Saturday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville by Miss Colleen Kay Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore H. Howard of Unity, and Gerald Robert Marden, son of Mrs. Robert Lulloff of Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at the 2 p.m. wedding.

Approaching the altar with her father, the bride was attired in a floor length gown of nylon organza, trimmed with hand-clipped Chantilly lace. The Basque bodice featured a scalloped portrait neckline and long, lace sleeves. A crown of nylon tulle, with orange blossoms and pearls, held her bouffant veil of English bridal illusion. Red roses, white carnations and lily of the valley made up the bridal bouquet.

Miss Rosaline Hebert of Unity attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Lois Howard of Milwaukee and Mrs. Ernest Raatz of Marshfield.

The attendants wore street-length gowns of cotillion blue satin, with matching shoes and headpieces.  Their bouquets were of white and blue gardenias.

Ronald Marden of Neillsville served his brother as bestman. Groomsmen were Gerald Howard and Edward Raatz of Marshfield.  Ushers were Larry Daniels of Neillsville, and James Boyer of St. Paul, Minn.

Kendall Smith sang, "The Wedding Prayer" and "O Perfect Love" accompanied at the organ by Victor Lehmann.

A reception and wedding supper was served in St. John’s School.
