Olsen, Judith Lee #2 (29 DEC 1962)

Miss Judith Lee Olsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Olsen, route 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Richard Harry Braun, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Braun, route 2, Greenwood (Clark Co.), were married by candlelight at half past 4 o’clock Saturday, Dec. 29, 1962, by the Rev. Arvid Myrhwold, pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, approached the altar in a white satin gown fashioned with bustle back and Chapel train.  Her fingertip veil was held in place by a crown of pearls.  She carried a white orchid surrounded by red sweetheart roses on a white bible.  Red Sweetheart rosebuds cascaded down the shower streamers.

The organist was Mrs. Don Warner, Greenwood.  Mrs. Arvid Myrhwold, Greenwood, sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Wedding Prayer."

The church altar was adorned with red carnations, pin and candelabra.

The bride chose as her maide of honor, Miss Donna Barbara Olsen, route 1, Owen.  Bridesmaids were Miss Susan Braun, route 2, Greenwood; Miss Joan Dyre, route 3, Greenwood, and Miss Marcia Hemmersbach.

The attendants appeared in red velvet dresses with fitted bodices and full skirts.  Their headpieces were round halo-type stain bands entwined with pearls and veiling.  Each carried a white fur muff, centered with a large red carnations and green holly from which hung white velvet ribbon bows and streamers.

The flower girl was little three-year-old Kathy Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmond Olson, route 1, Owen.  Her red velvet dress with bouffant skirt was trimmed with white ruffles and lace.  She carried a white basket with white pompons and red Christmas trimming.

The groom chose as his best man, Danny Kind, Greenwood.  Other attendants were Jerry Capet, Fond du Lac; Sidney Bauer, Colby, and Dennis Wendt, route 1, Owen.

Ushers seating the guests were Dennis Wendt and Sidney Bauer.

Dinner was served in the church parlors to 200 guests.

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School and has been employed in Milwaukee.  The groom is also a graduate of Greenwood High School and has been with the Air Froce at Amarillo, Texas.

The bridal couple are on a honeymoon to various parts of the state and will make their home for the time being in Glasgow, Mont, where the groom will be stationed upon returning to his Air Force duties Jan. 18.
