Fradenburg, Abram David (13 November 1911 - 18 October 1964)

 

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from the Humbird Methodist Church for Abram D. Fradenburg, 52, of Willard, Rt. 1, who died Sunday at his home. The Rev. Ralph Walker will officiate. Burial will be made in the Town of Mentor Cemetery.

 

Abram David Fradenburg was born November 13, 1911, in Humbird, where he received his education.  He entered World War II in October 1942, and served in Europe.  He received his discharge in February, 1946.

 

He had made his home in Willard for the last 24 years and was employed by the Plautz Brothers at the time of his death.  His parents were the late George H. and Leona (Walker) Fradenburg.  He never married.

 

He was a member of the Wallis-Hinker Post No. 238, American Legion in Greenwood.

 

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Leon (Irene) Phillips of Goshen, Ind.; a brother, Willard of Goshen, Ind.; six nephews and four nieces.

 

The Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville is making funeral arrangements.

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Humbird for Abram D. Fradenburg, 52, of Rural Willard, who died October 18. The Rev. Ralph Walker officiated.  Burial was made in the Mentor Cemetery, near Humbird.

 

The Wallis-Hinker Post, No. 238, American Legion of Greenwood, of which he was a member, provided an honor guard at the church and conducted military rites at the cemetery.

 

Pallbearers, all members of Melchor-Matti American Legion Post, No. 320, of Humbird, were: Arthur Laffe, Nordahl Fristad, Wesley Washburn, Albert Flick, John Burchell and Clifford Walker.

 

Gordon Gearing and Mrs. Keith Johnson sang, "Rock of Ages" and "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Walter Smith. 

 

Out of town people attending the service were: Mrs. Leon Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Fradenburg, Victor Phillips, David, Mary and Daryl Fradenburg, Robert and Richard Phillips, and Mrs. Ross Honey, all of Goshen, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Batchelet of Zenda; Rev. and Mrs. R. Walker of Fairchild; H. A. Stuve and Henry Kostlevy of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Plowman and Mr. and Mrs. William Plowman of Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Lillian Fees of Alma Center; Mr. Eugene Diercks and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sontag of Vesper.

 

Many relatives and friends from Willard, Greenwood, Neillsville, and Fairchild area also attended the services.
