Lawrence Davis sold his bay pony to Hugh Berg last week.

Gust Bergeman made a business trip to Marshfield yesterday.

Mrs. Louis Hayden is entertaining out of town relatives since yesterday.

The Otto Garbush farm was sold Wednesday to Mrs. M.V. Ayers and and her son Bert.

Joe Lowe of Neillsville purchased a new 1914 Overland touring car of Knorr & Rausch last week.

Chas. Timm, after week’s visit at Otto Becker’s in Lynn, went home to Kiel on Thursday.

Mrs. Herman Behn and daughter Myra of Brillion, after a two week visit at Wm. Bartz’s, went home on Thursday.

Miss Viva Drake has accepted a clerkship at the H.C. Witte store and entered upon her new duties Monday.

Miss Edna Kemmeter is milliner at the P.J. Kemmeter store who can supply all your wants in that department.

Martin Krause and John Breseman of Lynn drove in Wednesday and took the train here for Neillsville on business bent.

Frank Johnson of York left on Wednesday for Montana.  He expects to spend the winter in the west.

Miss Lulu Furgeson, who has been employed at the Mot Osgood home, resigned her position there on Tuesday and returned home.

A.J. Breed, a brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Fuller and Mrs. Laura Mason, after a summer’s sojourn in Washington, D.C., writes the ladies here that he and his wife will leave there early next month to return to their home on the pacific coast in the state of Washington.

Sam Gerlach has so far recovered his sight as to make trips to and from town alone, and went to Neillsville by train unaccompanied Thursday.

Ira Slocomb went to Madison on Wednesday where he has entered the University to pursue his studies the coming year.

The George and Fred Hart families autoed to Chippewa Falls last week Thursday and spent an enjoyable day attending the fair there.

Mrs. T.D. Wage and Mrs. Floyd Winn will entertain the O.E.S. Birthday Club tomorrow, Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. M.V. Ayers will, with her son Bert, move out from Neillsville and take possession of their new farm, the Otto Garbush place, next week.

The big Youmans farm on Ridge, which lies in the town of Grant and Pine Valley, was sold to a party from Janesville last week, and Mr. and Mrs. Gay Youmans are moving into the city of Neillsville where they have rented and will occupy Mrs. M.V. Ayer’s home.

August Holtz, who has been engaged with mason work on a barn basement for Will Hubing, went home to Plainfield Thursday to take an enforced vacation, owing to the rainy weather.  Aug. has sold out at Plainfield and will take advantage of this weather and move his family to Marshfield yet this week.

Miss Bertha Barth, who is in failing health, resigned her position at the H.C. Witte store Saturday and went home to Nasonville for an indefinite stay and vacation.

An Omaha Ry. Claim agent settled with Will Hubing for $40 Monday, in payment for sheep killed by the train on the right of way some time ago.

Will Myers, well known in railroad circles, especially since the wreck last fall where several persons were killed, and in which he as conductor of a freight train figured so prominently, is being tried at Hudson this week.  Attorney S.M. Marsh of Neillsville is acting as his attorney.

Mrs. W.S. Davis will entertain the Circle next Wednesday.

Mrs. Joe Buss arrived home on Wednesday much pleased with her visit with old friends in Chciago.

Floyd Rath of Cataract spent several days of last week here with his brother Dr. Rath and left last Tuesday afor Madison where he is attending college.

County Superintendent Miss Bessie Kennedy, accompanied by Miss Agnes Paulson, autoed over from Neillsville one day last week.

Mrs. Geo. Beaver came home from Athens last week Thursday.  Her father Make Hubing accompanied her down and went back the next day, accompanied by his daughter, Miss Clara, who had been here and at Neillsville for several weeks past.
