Graveside rites were held in Thorp Friday for Jeffrey Kenneth Abramczuk, eight-week-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Abramcuk of Rt. 3, Thorp, who died of suffocation last Thursday afternoon. The child was one of nine in the family.
A plastic bag had been drawn into the infant’s mouth, preventing it from breathing.
When it was found unconscious in its crib, the child was taken by the parents to the Thorp Fire Department, where an unsuccessful effort was made to revive him with the aid of a resuscitator.
