Kohls, Janet (Marriage - 18 July 1964)

Miss Janet Kohls, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kohls of Gillett, exchanged nuptial vows July 18 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gillett, with Frank Urbanz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Urbanz, Sr., of Willard. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Westphal.

Miss Joyce Weisner sang, "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and "The Lord’s Prayer," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Henry Miller.

The bride was attired in a floor length princess style gown of silk organza over taffeta. The lace fitted bodice was topped with a sculptured neckline, and the waist was accented with pearls.  Her waist-length, silk illusion veil was attached to a crown of crystals and pearls. Her bridal bouquet consisted of pink glamilia and white gladioli.

Her attendants were Mrs. Audrey DeBord of Milwaukee, matron of honor; and Mrs. Isabel Qualls of River Falls, bridesmaid.  They wore identical gowns of aqua taffeta featuring bell-shaped skirts, scoop necklines and elbow length sleeves.  Aqua tulle covered bowled head pieces of matching material.  They carried red garnet roses.

Richard Kohls, brother of the bride, was best man. Groomsman was Gale Qualls.  Ushers were Edward Kohls and Louis Landini.

The bride has been a home economics teacher in the Waupun School system.  In the fall she will teach at Bear Lake.  Mr. Urbanz is young and adult vocational agriculture instructor in the Clintonville schools.

They will reside at 106 E. 12th St. Clintonville after July 22.
