Kuehn, Hannelore "Lore" (26 August 1949 - 15 January 2012)

 

Hannelore Kuehn, 62, of Neillsville, and formerly of Granton, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at the Ministry Home Care Hospice House of the Dove in Marshfield.

 

Hannelore Kuehn was born Aug. 26, 1949, in Heidelberg, Germany, the daughter of Roger and Erna (Steger) Kuehn.  She attended school in Heidelberg and then worked as a KP (kitchen police) on the Patton Army Military Base in Heidelberg. In 1979, she moved to Granton to be with her parents and work as a housekeeper.

 

Lore loved music and animals, especially cats. She enjoyed crocheting and made several tablecloths over the years that she would give to family and friends.

 

She is survived by her mother, Erna, of Neillsville; an uncle, Russell (Sharon) Kuehn, of Granton; and cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Kuehn, and an aunt, Darlene Harris.

 

A memorial service for Hannelore will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Gesche Funeral home in Neillsville. Pastor Daniel Schoessow will officiate. Music will be provided by Eileen Zank, organist and Dawn Jacobsen.  Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery in Granton.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral Home.

 

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Hannelore’s family with funeral arrangements.
